how words transcend time , A more than 200 yrs old Ghazal by Mir taqi Mir used

in movie named " Bazaar" , singer none other than lata, music by khaiyyam sahib.

it tells about depth of love. i am simplifying and translating urdu words,

to make it more clear in meaning.

bekhud- no control on self

jabeen- forehead(maatha)

sajda- bowing in prayer

haq e bandagi- duty of worshiping

ada- fulfilled

parasthish ki - worshiped

yaan tak- upto that extent

butt- idol

nazar main - in eyes

sabhon ki- all the people( sabki)

khuda- God

arzoo- desire

gali- street( symbolical for closeness)

yaan se- from here( yahan se in hindi)

lahoo main nahan kar- in blood bath( symbolical for severe pain)

so i am in bloodbath .

This song is like a kite for my heart; my heart will follow wherever this song swings. This song is a proof that Lata Ji is a MAGIC. The voice , the sur just fantastic. Laxmi-pyare Music is class. Words by Anand Bakshi are touching. Mohinder kapoor -gud,but at the end Lata steals the show.

The song passes through ears and just diffuses in my blood, it is so sweet that if someone takes MY blood sample WHILE LISENING, I hope he/she would get some drops of honey.

After songs like jhomroo, ek rupya baraah aanaa.. he might have gone unnoticed if not streamlined in serious singing by S D Burman. Burman sr. reinvented kishore and Burman jr too extracted best of kishore that resulted in some of the gems of hindi music.

o maajhi re! is one song that transports to a world of different feeling.

Madhuban khushboo deta hai

All the listeners of hindi music know male singers of golden era

such as Rafi, Mukesh and kishore, but there are

more singers who never touched height of fame perhaps they

were not versatile but they were quality singers in their own niche. Naming few -Manna de, Hemant kumar, Talat Mahmood.etc.

I have special place for two entirely different singers- Yeshudas and Bhupendra.

I can point out many of kishore, Rafi and Mukesh songs below average.

But there is not even a single song by these two singers which I can’t relish in ears.

They sang less but quality songs. There is one song by Yeshudas which I listen often in a particular mood.

Today my mood is similar for some reason. So, I share this song with musical blood people.

taari "portion in the song, the song would have been more rich in romantic flavour.

No doubt that portion has brilliant classical touch

but that does not go well with the genre of the song and lyrics.

It diverts the romantic mood of the song.

still, overall it sounds good.
